Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
